YOUR DATA
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
DayCadence is currently a private, self-hosted visual day planner. This policy explains what information the app uses and how its optional Google Calendar connection works.
Information you create
Your tasks, projects, tags, priorities, notes and day plans are stored in the database on your own self-hosted system. The public website at daycadence.date does not host that planner data.
Google Calendar data
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, DayCadence requests read-only access to the calendars you select. It may retrieve calendar names and event details such as title, start and end time, description, location and event link solely to show calendar context in your planner.
DayCadence cannot create, edit or delete your Google Calendar events. Calendar responses are requested when needed and are not persistently copied into the DayCadence task database.
OAuth credentials
Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored on your self-hosted DayCadence gateway. Selected calendar identifiers are stored with this encrypted configuration. Disconnecting Google Calendar revokes access and removes the stored token configuration.
How information is used
Information is used only to provide DayCadence features requested by you. DayCadence does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use Google user data to train artificial intelligence models.
Google API Limited Use
DayCadence’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security and retention
The planner is designed for access through the owner’s private network. No system is completely immune from risk, so the owner remains responsible for securing, updating and backing up the self-hosted system.
Your choices
You can choose which calendars appear, temporarily hide Google events, or disconnect Google Calendar at any time. You can also revoke DayCadence access from your Google Account security settings.
